From The Pavilion to forever
How two strangers at a shopping centre food court became partners for life — and how a simple introduction turned into a love story worth celebrating.
It started on an ordinary early evening in 2018 at the Pavilion shopping centre. Hlengi was simply passing through to grab something to eat — Lizwe says it was love at first sight, and he knew straight away that this was his chance.
Hlengi, ever so lowkey, was quietly hoping he would walk over and ask for her number. He did. What began as a chance meeting between two strangers grazing the same food court has carried them all the way to a wedding day — and now, to a lifetime together.
Eight years later, with families united and umabo traditions honoured, Lizwe and Hlengiwe are ready to become husband and wife — and they would love for you to be there.
